volcon “a dream realized”

Texture is one of the most impactful components of sound design. Textures cut through a mix, provide context, and place the listener right in the world of a scene. "A Dream Realized" gave us lots of opportunities to play with texture, and tell the story of crafting a Volcon bike. From the gentle rustle of leaves in the wind, to the explosive crackle of a spark welder, to the spray of dirt as the bike blazes across a field, the sound design transports the listener right into the action.

The edit is beautifully done, creating clear beats where sound design can take the lead with rhythmic punches, before giving way to the evocative string swells in the score. The visual cuts and sound design meld beautifully to shift the viewer between serene wilderness and reflection to bursts of ingenuity and power.
