This promo was for the penultimate episode of West World’s third season, and was an important recap of everything that took place across a complex storyline. It also prepared viewers for the series’ dramatic finale by building tension and excitement. 

The promo begins with dialogue from the season so far, soaked in dreamy reverb, evoking memories of the past. It builds and resets several times, each peak more intense than the last. The dialogue starts to overlap, and pans left and right so that it feels like it is happening inside the viewer’s mind. The promo ends on a final crescendo, followed by silence as the show title fades out.
